Rammed Earth Elementary School

Elementary School

Set in the vast desert landscape of Niamey, Niger, this traditional elementary school seamlessly connects culture with its surroundings.

The rustic and natural appearance of this building reflects the particular landscape of the zone. Its thick, sturdy walls protect the children, sheltering them from the desert’s extremes and external noise, creating a calm and safe space where they can focus, play, and learn peacefully.

The earth mix used for this project included laterite, desert sand, cement, and StampTerra.
